After having Create a recipe

Editing a recipe is used to complete or modify information relating to:

• identification (label, internal code, category, image)
• the composition of the recipe
• production steps
• sales information (packaging, price)
• recipe units

To edit a recipe, you must:

1. Select the recipe in the list to access its advisory view.
2. Fill in or modify the information by simply clicking on it.

Assign a category

Assigning a category to an item makes it easier to find that item in a list. Set up your item and recipe categories

It is therefore necessary to choose from among the proposals displayed in the "Category" drop-down selector of the first block of information, which will have been configured upstream.

Indicate the net weight of the recipe

Specify the net weight of the recipe in production, that is to say after it has suffered a loss following processing.

To apply a weight variation:

1. Click on  Indicate a weight variation
2. Enter the type of variation (loss or gain), then the value in %.
3. If you do not know the average weight variation: the application allows you to calculate it by entering the gross weight and the net weight of the item in the corresponding fields. Click on Calculate.
4. Validate by clicking on  Apply

Set up the DLC

Melba allows, for each recipe, to enter a number of days of validity between the production and the expiration of the product, and thus automatically calculate the DLC.

To set the number of days and calculate the DLC:

1. Click on  Set DLC
2. Enter a quantity corresponding to the number of days the recipe is valid for
3. Validate by clicking on  Apply

Fill in the composition

It is about integrating ingredients or intermediate recipes into a recipe

To add ingredients/recipes to a recipe, you must:

1. Go to the Composition block of the recipe
2. Click on one of the options:
   - Add an article
   - Add a recipe
   - Add a separator

In the mode for adding an article or a recipe:

1. Search and select a product (ex. Potato)
2. Customize the designation if desired (ex. Mashed potato)
3. Enter the quantity then the unit of the product for a recipe
4. Click on Add or Add and new to add in series

Determine the production steps of your recipe

You can indicate each stage of the production of your recipe with a precise description.

To add a step, you must:

1. Click on Add a step
2. Enter text
3. Click on Validate

It is possible :

• Add as many steps as necessary
• Rearrange the order of the steps by selecting the Drag & Drop icon
